About Injections

Dr. Cunningham performing a spinal injection procedure. Most of us will experience back or joint pain at some point in our lives. How we deal with that pain is very much up to us.

Know your options! Your back pain may heal on its own, with rest, exercise and pain medicine, but in some cases chiropractic adjustment, physical therapy or surgery might be needed to return you to your active lifestyle.

Did you know you have another option?

Pain management injections are clinical procedures done in an out-patient setting with minimal downtime. They are often successful on their own, or might assist in relieving your pain enough to have chiropractic adjustments or do the physical therapy. Injection procedures can also be used pre-surgery to create a "map" of your pain sites, or post-surgery to help you manage residual pain.

Any of these options may be right for you. We encourage you to find out more about injection procedures here. Of course, talk through your pain issues with your doctor so together you can make decisions about next steps; a pain management procedure requires a doctor's written order.
